I feel lucky to be a teacher and to have such variety in my working day. I love working with teenagers and helping them to navigate their way from childhood to adulthood, it’s a real responsibility but also a privilege.
If you had told me at the beginning of my career that I would be responsible for digital learning in my school I would have laughed at you but I have always tried to be creative with my teaching and try out new ideas which is why I have the role that I currently have and I couldn’t be happier helping staff, parents and students utilise technology to enhance teaching and learning. This year I’d love to start a community project bringing together some of our younger students and older people in the community and get the students teaching them how to staying touch with their families on the mainland or how to shop safely online. It’s in its infancy but watch this space….
