I became a teacher because I had the ultimate role model, my dad. His guidance and leadership drove me to become the teacher I am today. I feel my role is to encourage my students to follow the passions that bring them into the classroom every day. The classroom I’m lucky enough to teach in is a maker centred space that promotes and nurtures creativity, innovation, technology, collaboration and passion. We enable our students to be the creators of their education, follow their passions and chase their dreams. Within our maker centred classroom we have our own makerspace where students can tinker, build, create, program robots, game and code. We fully immerse our students in the maker culture, foster creativity and ignite passion.
